The Children's Park

A lasting legacy for generations to come — a place of quiet reflection to honor and celebrate the lives of all children.

Imagine the Children's Park

Imagine a beautiful park, nestled within the tall East Texas trees, with winding cobblestone sidewalks that have children's names engraved along the edges, and beautiful landscaping flowing along the edge of a rippling creek.

We live in a day and time where children are not appreciated for the gifts from God that they truly are. This park will be a constant reminder to us to celebrate and be thankful for their lives and not take the brief time we have them for granted. It will be a wonderful opportunity for families to have their children's names remembered forever.

Plans for the Park

  • An amphitheater tucked away in the corner for children's story hours
  • Life-size bronze statues of children playing
  • Benches lining the sidewalks
  • A beautiful butterfly garden
  • Many opportunities for families to include their children's names

Keepsakes That Keep a Memory Close

Families often tell us about the small objects that keep a child's memory close — a locket, a drawing, or a watch worn on the day a child was born. In our support group, a few families have shared timepieces they have used as keepsakes, including pieces chosen to mark the time of a first birthday. Whatever a family chooses, it is the meaning behind it that endures.
